ಕಬ್ಬಿನ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರ ಬಾಕಿ ಹಣ ನೀಡದ ಗೋಕಾಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕ ರಮೇಶ್ ಜಾರಕಿಹೊಳಿ‌ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ರೈತರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜಾರಿಕಿಹೊಳಿ ಒಡೆತನದ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಬಾಕಿ ಹಣ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸೂಚನೆ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಹಣ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಕೂಡ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೂ ಬಾಕಿ ಹಣದ ನೀಡದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೈತರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Ramesh Jarkiholi, a legislator of the Gokaka constituency, who has not paid the sugarcane growers, Soubagya Lakshmi Sugar Factory owned by slum-holders has kept the balance outstanding for farmers. The board also agreed to pay the growers at the notice of the Deputy Commissioners. However, the farmers are outraged when they have not paid the balance till now.
