Donors are feeling the Bern. Sen. Bernie Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign set a new record for first-day donations. The $6 million in donations came from about 225,000 donors, with an average donation of $27. Bernie Sanders, via Twitter Sen. Kamala Harris held the previous first-day donations record, raising $1.5 million. Sanders enters a democratic primary field that includes Harris and Senators Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand. If elected, Sanders would become the oldest president in history - 79 years old at the time of his inauguration.
