대담: 2차 북미정상회담 싱가포르 약속 진전시키나
Anticipation builds as the two leaders will sit down for their second summit.
For an in-depth analysis of the hotly anticipated event, we're joint in the studio by Dr. Woo Jung-yeop.
Dr. Woo thanks for coming in.
Thans for having me.
Working level officials from both sides have been busier than ever as the summit date approaches.
It seems so far both sides have been at it.
They do seem to be coming out with positive vibes.
Denuclearization is the key topic.
What kind of deal could be produced at this point, after lukewarm results of the first summit.
Washington is seeking to set up a diplomatic office in North Korea.
Will it happen.
Other than a symbolic move, how will it help improve ties moving forward?
Another measure North Korea has been pursuing is the declaring an end to the Korean War.
What tangible steps could be agreed upon at this meeting?
There must be concerns from both sides.
They do not want to come out of this session empty handed or taking a step back.
How do we measure success?
Thank you for sharing your insights with us Dr. Woo.
