The NIA has mentioned that four Congress leaders were in touch with Naxals and even passed on information about the change of route. According to NIA, they reached to the conclusion after analyzing several call details of Jagdalpur tower.

NIA also adds that there were some insiders who were present in Congress camp. These insiders had been giving even the minute details to the Naxals. The phone numbers which Congress leaders were using to pass on the information to red rebels are now found to be switched off.
