The relations between the Trinamool and the Congress are going downhill. Not only are its leader engaged in the war of words over a range of issues, even the students' wings of the two allies have now come to blows. The row over filing of nominations at a college in Raiganj has led to a violent exchange between the two sides, each alleging that it's being prevented from filing nominations of their candidates. The clash has also been the college Principal being dragged in students heckling the principal and creating ruckus on the college premises.
