India News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today distributed free laptops at IT College and Lucknow University in the state capital on Saturday. The Samajwadi Party's ambitious scheme to provide free laptops to students has been riddled with debt and delay in distribution. The state government has to pay Rs. 900 crore to tech giant Hewlett Packard which has supplied five lakh laptops for the scheme.
