Close aide of law minister Salmam Khurshid has said that, the law minister does not want to comment on the ongoing controversy over his statement. He said that the matter is between the two constitutional bodies and he would like to stay away from it. Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid's had spoken during an election rally in UP on Saturday, which brought him a deluge of trouble. Khurshid had said that he would continue to pursue the line on nine percent sub-quota for minorities 'even if the EC decided to hang him. The Election Commission last night sought the "immediate and decisive" intervention of President Pratibha Patil charging Khurshid of "improper and unlawful" defiance.
