New Delhi: The activists of Bharatiya Janata Party held protest in Delhi to highlight the unprecedented rise in prices of onion .The BJP leaders held the Union government responsible for the price hike. They said that the costly onion require bank lockers to be safely kept.The BJP leaders said that hoarding and black-marketing of onion has led to such a hike in its prices. They added that the steps being taken by the Centre to bring down the prices of onion is a mere political gimmick.

The speakers maintained that the Union government has failed to keep a tab on the increasing inflation. The BJP leaders said that the prices of tomato are also on a steep rise and necessary steps should be taken to ensure that it prices get controlled.
