New Delhi: Will the Congress's flagship Food Security Bill be debated in the Lok Sabha today? While the debate had started on Tuesday on converting the ordinance into a law, it could not be completed because of repeated disruptions in the Lok Sabha, leading to its adjournment until Wednesday.
With the Bharatiya Janata Party's relentless attack over allegations against Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, the ruling party seems to be on backfoot, thereby hampering any chances of a constructive debate on the landmark law which aims to provide subsidised wheat and rice at between Rs. 2 and Rs. 3 per kilo to nearly 800 million people.
