Its another day of reckoning for Home minister Chidambaram, as the Supreme Court is to hear an appeal against a trial court order of clearing him of charges in the 2G scam. Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy and social activist Prashant Bhushan had accused Chidambaram of acting in collusion with jailed former Telecom Minister A Raja on spectrum pricing and distribution on FCFS basis... besides allowing telecom companies to shed stakes. Chidambaram in his defence has said that he did not consult Raja over pricing and had favoured auctioning of spectrum. He also says the sell of stakes by some telcos was legal.
