The BJP president Rajnath Singh on Friday announced that Gujarat Chief Minister and campaign committee chief Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in 2014.
Parliamentary Board meeting was attended by the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, senior BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari, Murli Manohar Joshi and Venkaiah Naidu.
Senior BJP leader L.K. Advani did not attend the parliamentary board meeting on Friday.
