UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi hosted a lunch for all MPs belonging to the ruling coalition and supporting parties today. The lunch comes a day before they vote for India's next President. But once again conspicuous by her absence was TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee. Mamata decided to give the lunch a miss, despite Sonia Gandhi personally inviting her. Instead, Mamata seemed to be making a point by sending a relatively lightweight party leader, KD Singh as TMC's representative.
