Separatist leaders will go ahead with their meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit in Delhi on Tuesday even after India cancelled the foreign secretary-level talks with Pakistan.
Taking a tough stand at Pakistan's engagement with Kashmiri separatist leaders, India on Monday called off the August 25 foreign secretary-level talks, terming unacceptable "the continued efforts to interfere" in its internal affairs.
"Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will go to meet Pakistan High Commissioner in Delhi tomorrow," spokesman of the moderate Hurriyat Conference said. He said it was unfortunate that the Centre had cancelled the talks.
