ATS will probe Pune blast case: RR Patil,State Home Minister

State Home Minister RR Patil has said that the blast has posed a big challenge for the city police.
He, along with the State Director General of Police Sanjeev Dayal, rushed to the city and visited the blast site.
Later, the duo held an hour-long meeting with the city police officers.

"The blast is a challenge for the city police. But we will crack the case. The Anti-Terrorism Squad will probe the case," Patil said. The Home Minister refused to share any information about the case at this juncture.

During his visit, BJP and Shiv Sena workers raised slogans against the government for the delay in installing CCTVs in the city.

After the blast, the police started their investigation by collecting evidence. The premises has five closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras. Deputy Commissioner of Police MB Tamde said, "We have sent all the video footages to the commissioner and our investigation is on."

Tambde said the respective teams are working on their details and once they submit their reports, the police will move ahead in investigation.

In the meantime, the police have recorded statements from eye witnesses.
