Big day in Gujarat, with voting in the first phase of Gujarat assembly elections underway until 9 AM has been put at 6 per cent. All eyes are in Saurashtra region where Gujarat Parivarthan leader Keshubhai Patel cast his vote. Saurashtra region a stronghold of Keshubhai Patel is tipped to decide the outcome of the elections as well as the fate of Chief Minister Narendra Modi. Nearly 1.81 Crore voters will decide the fate of 846 candidates in fray, Nearly 46 of these are women. The constituencies where polling sarted include 48 in seven districts of Saurashtra, 35 seats in five districts of South Gujarat and four seats in Ahmedabad district.
