Tonight a grief-stricken nation will receive the body of the 23 year old braveheart who waged but lost a grim battle for life after her brutal gangrape. Doctors at S'pore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital said she died peacefully at around 2:15 am Indian time with her family by her side. The final cause of death was organ failure. NewsX has covered this case and the subsequent public response very widely, but at this point NewsX is choosing to put the wishes and feelings of the family first. Hence we have decided not to cover the return of our braveheart's body to India, or the funeral to follow, until and unless the family agrees to it.
