The United States has stood by India's stand that Pakistan's savagery on the Line of Control must be taken up bilaterally and a solution found between the two sides. But that takes little away from public sentiment and demand for strong action against the neigbour for what has become a recurring spate of brutal attacks against Indian soldiers.
