Match-fixing Scandal: Shocking revelations on Matchfixing by former South African player Henry Williams. Williams has reportedly admitted that he lied in his testimony on the match-fixing allegations against former Proteas skipper Hansie Cronje. Williams said he and former colleague Herschelle Gibbs falsely testified before the Kings Commission to make a stronger case against Cronje. In the match-fixing saga that broke in the year 2000, the two players told the Commission that they took 15,000 dollars from Cronje to under-perform in an ODI against India in Nagpur.
