After uproar, Mumbai Police revises 'no-PDA' policy

The Mumbai Police came in for much flak after a misguided attempt to target couples romancing in parks and beaches. It then hurriedly revised its circular. What is baffling is that the move was intended to make the city safer. A circular was earlier issued on January 14 that sounded very much like a licence to the police to harass lovers and those making a public display of affection and after that notice came in for flak, the Mumbai police withdrew the same for rephrasing.
