MDMK general secretary Vaiko says he will lead his party men to picket the prime minister's residence in New Delhi today. Vaiko says he is protesting against the visit of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse's visit to India. Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrives in India Friday for a pilgrimage but will not visit New Delhi to meet the country's leaders. Vaiko has earlier also written to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar urging him to cancel the visit of Rajapakse to Bodh Gaya the place where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.
