Two days before US President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in India, the Intelligence Bureau, in an alert, has warned that terrorists from Pakistan may carry out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, according to reports.The terrorists involved might be from groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen, according to TV reports. Security has been intensified in Samba and Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir. There could be infiltration by terrorists under the cover of cross-border firing exchanged between Indian and Pakistani troops.
Pakistani Rangers and BSF troops briefly exchanged fire last night along the International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir."On suspicion of (movement of) suspected persons, we fired few rounds and Pakistan posts also fired few rounds after hearing sound in Regaal Border Out Post (BoP) area along the IB in Samba sector last night", a senior BSF officer said.
"However, there was no specific movement or infiltration attempt from across", he said. "The firing continued intermittently for a brief period at 11 pm last night", he said, adding there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the exchanges.
