Italian Prime MInister Mario Monti called Manmohan Singh to inquire about the two arrested marines. Manmohan has reiterated the assurance given by Foreign Ministry that the death penalty wouldn't be enforced on them. The Prime Minister also told Monti that special court for trial of marines to be announced on April 16.
