Bitter rivals from all political parties have come together in calling a shutdown in Thane today. Political rivals have shed their differences and have come together to protect unauthorised residential structures in Thane district from being demolished. The political parties are demanding that govt provide an alternate accommodation to residents who will be displaced. Political leaders of all parties announced that a march would be taken out by from Thane to the Mantralaya demanding "first rehabilitation and later demolition".
