NewsX: A political war has broken out over BJP leader Gulab Chand Kataria being named in the chargesheet in the Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter case. The BJP has slammed the CBI saying that it was a ploy by the agency and congress to target the party ahead of of elections in Rajasthan.

The state BJP president Vasundhara Raje says that Kataria is innocent and the party will stand by all those leaders named in the chargesheet.BJP will also flight this case legally and politically.

Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, meanwhile, asked how come the CBI does not have any evidence against former Railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal?

The BJP leader added that there was no hope from CBI and its officials that they would conduct an unbiased investigation into the matter.

Rajnath Singh was flanked by Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and Rajasthan BJP president Vasundhara Raje.

However Kataria has claimed that the charges against are him part of political conspiracy, asking why charges were filed against him after six years.
