The Election Commission is set to announce the schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections on Wednesday. Expected to be held in multiple phases, the elections in Bihar may begin in mid-October.The last Assembly elections in Bihar in 2010 were held in six phases over 30 days.The announcement of dates comes amid a fierce war of words between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the run up to the polls.
