NewsX: The UPA govt may have passed the food security ordinance to ensure food for the poor but the middle class is reeling under rising prices of Onions. Onions which is a bare essential for any kitchen is making holes in pockets.
Onions in the retail markets are being sold at Rs 50 -70 per kilogram making it difficult for the middle class to buy it on a regular basis. Onion prices are rising as there is a of short supply hoarding by middlemen and poor policies of the Government. The Government looks helpless to do anything for people.
