A local court of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Indian Twenty20 skipper Mahindra Singh Dhoni, Indian media reported Friday.
The arrest warrants were issued in connection with a petition filed by a social activist. He accused Dhoni of hurting Hindu sentiments after the cricketer was portrayed as the Hindu god Vishnu on a magazine cover.
The picture carried the subtitle “God of Big Deals” with the cricket star holding products of several brands including a shoe.
