Putting the onus on JNU students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar to "control anti-national activities" on JNU campus, the Delhi High Court allowed his interim release on Wednesday evening. Granting six-month interim bail to Kumar, Justice Pratibha Rani noted that reason behind "anti-national views" in the mind of students who raised slogans on the death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru had to be found. She also asked the JNU authorities to prevent recurrence of such incidents. Kumar will be released from Tihar Jail on Thursday morning.
