BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi's reaction to a reported remark made by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh created a controversy that arguably became bigger news than his Delhi rally.

It all started with Pakistan's Geo TV reporting that Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif referred to his Indian counterpart as a 'dehati aurat' (village woman) hours before a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
