A special NIA court on Wednesday acquitted Swami Aseemanand and five others in the the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case while convicting three of the accused.

The three found guilty by NIA court are Sunil Joshi (who is already dead), Bhavesh and Devendra Gupta.

In October 11, 2007, three persons were killed and around 15 others injured when a bomb exploded at around 6:15PM inside the premises of dargah of Sufi Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti.

Aseemanand was accused of masterminding the attack by the NIA and had charges against him and six others for murder and communal hatred.

Aseemanand is also the prime accused in the 2007 Samjhauta blast case. He was granted bail in September 2016 from NIA special court in Panchkula.
