Prime Minister seems to have given in to pressure from Tamil parties and has decided against going to Colombo for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid may represent India at the meet. Majority in Congress core group had opposed PM's visit and even the cabinet was unwilling to go against the party on the sensitive issue.
