After red-flagging Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's participation at the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Colombo , tamil parties are upping the ante with plans to pass a resolution in the state assembly to protest against India's participation in the summit.
In the wake of the UPA government's decision to send a representative to take part in the CHOGM meet, Tamil parties are likely to pass a resolution in the state assembly at around 6pm seeking complete boycott of the summit.
With Prime Minister bowing to domestic political sentiment, political parties in Tamil Nadu have strengthened their demand with threats of state bandh and blocking the entry of union govt leaders in the state.
