Colombo: After weeks of political friction, Sri Lanka is all set to host the three-day Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which begins on Friday.
Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapakse on Thursday downplayed the absence of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that he was satisfied with the presence of External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, who is representing India at the summit after the PM backed out in the wake of strong sentiments in Tamil Nadu.
