The Congress-led government in Maharashtra has gone the AAP way and decided to reduce 15 to 20% cut in power tariff charged to domestic consumers, industries and power looms by the state-run Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MahaVitaran).
The state cabinet's decision to cut the tariff appears to have been taken in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
