The Supreme Court-appointed panel, which probed spot-fixing in last year's IPL, said the whole episode demonstrated "disturbing links" between players, administrators, and politicians with underworld dons like Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel.

Justice Mukul Mudgal-headed panel also slammed the Mumbai Police for being reluctant to investigate the involvement of Dawood. It also questioned why Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf was allowed to leave the country despite the proof of his involvement in spot-fixing
