An encounter between militants and forces has started in Guglodo, Pinjura, village of Shopian just a few kms away from the hill district headquarter.

Police sources told Kashmir Life that 44 RR, SOG Shopian and CRPF, personnel cordoned off Guglodo village after a tip off about the presence of militants there.

They added that as soon as forces zeroed the cordon, the militants took shelter in a residential house and started firing on the forces.

The exchange of firing was going on as the reports last came in.
