After a lack of consensus on its list of candidates to be fielded from Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may stop short of taking the final call at the meeting of its Central Election Committee on Thursday.

The delay in announcement of list of candidates from UP also means that confusion over Varanasi and Lucknow may continue for a while.
