Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Ashutosh on Wednesday alleged that his rival and Congress candidate Kapil Sibal is bribing voters in Delhi's Chandni Chowk constituency and asked the Election Commission of India to debar him from contesting the elections.
Ashutosh's allegation comes a day before the national capital goes to polls.
"Kapil Sibbal has started distributing money in Chandni Chowk to buy votes," the AAP leader tweeted.
He said Indian democracy has earned a bad name because of "men like Sibbal" who think "money can buy vote and seat" and asked the EC to debar him from contesting.
"I request EC to immediately intervene in Chandni Chowk and arrest those who are distributing money and cancel Sibbal's nomination."
