India's next Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who lead BJP towards a thumping historical victory in the most keenly watched Lok Sabha election 2014, addressed a "thanks giving" first rally in Vadodara, Gujarat, from where he win by over 5 lakh votes.
While addressing the massive rally, Modi told the roaring crowd, "I am here to thank you all.
Every voter became Narendra Modi.
" "Vadodara has created history by giving a victory margin of 5.7 lakh votes, a record in general elections", Modi told his supporters.
"Gujarat has created history by giving all the 26 seats to BJP", the elated Modi said.
In an overwhelming message, Modi said, "India has won, good days are ahead. It is time to live for the nation, not to die.
"Good days are coming and from today for next five years the journey has started", he asserted.
"Nation won't find a mazdoor like me. There will be no "apna" and no "paraya" in our government." "In Varanasi, people have put a stamp on my silence, an apparent reference to refusal of permission to address a meeting", he told the people of Gujarat.
"Sabka saath, sabka vikas" is my motto, Modi said.
"I hope I will get cooperation from all political parties and leaders in running the nation", he said. "First time after independence, a non-Congress party has been given majority on its own in the current elections", he said.
"For the first time, the country will be run by one who was born after independence", he said.
