In the Indian general election, 2014, Kiren Rijiju was again elected as a Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha elections, representing the Arunachal West constituency. Kiren defeated Takam Sanjoy of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 41,738 votes. He is in Narendra Modi's best of 45 Cabinets' list.
