Prime Minister Narendra Modi today exhorted the people of Maharashtra to take the revenge on polling day i.e. October 15 for 15 years of misrule by Congress and NCP.
Addressing a rally in Konkavali, Maharashtra, Modi said "If you want to save Maharashtra then vote for BJP on the 15 th of October. Take the revenge for 15 years of misrule through ballot on October 15."
Emphasing on the need for a clear mandate, Modi reminded people that India is now being taken seriously by world powers because BJP was given a clear mandate in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
"Didn’t we have Prime Ministers before? But now people know about India. America is completely wooed by our nation. Its not because of Modi. Its because you all have given a clear mandate," said Modi.
Slamming “dynastic politics” by Congress and NCP leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the voters of Maharashtra to “banish” the two parties from the state in the October 15 Assembly poll.
“Their leaders have made it a feudal set up. The father comes to power and asks his children to take care of a few districts. If the fate of Konkan and Sindhudurg has to change, then ensure that the BJP government comes to power,” Modi said, winding up his campaign in the state with a rally at Kankavli in Konkan region, the stronghold of Congress’ election campaign committee chief Narayan Rane. Rane, a former Chief Minister, is contesting from Kudal, while his son Nitesh is Congress candidate for Kankavli.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar, a former Deputy Chief Minister, is a prime contender for chief ministership if the party is voted to power.
Accusing Congress and NCP of being “steeped” in corruption, Modi asked the voters to “banish” the two parties from the state.
“Will you wipe out thieves and robbers in this election? Maharashtra should be freed from the clutches of dynastic rule,” he said.
Modi said for the first time in 30 years there was a government at the Centre with an absolute majority and asked the electorate to give the BJP a clear majority in Maharashtra for good governance.
