BJP on Tuesday hit out at Trinamool Congress, alleging that Bengal's ruling party had links with Maoists and was looking at reviving the association to tackle BJP. The party ruled out inducting anybody with scam taint, especially that of Saradha.
BJP national secretary Sidharth Nath Singh, in charge of Bengal, referred to discussions at Trinamool's extended core meeting at Mamata Banerjee's Kalighat home on Saturday. "Trinamool leaders Purnendu Bose and Dola Sen told Mamata that it would not be possible to tackle BJP democratically. They advised her to go back to old friends, the Maoists," claimed Singh.
