Bihar news: Nitish Kumar will return as chief minister of Bihar for a fourth time on Sunday. Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi invited the Janata Dal (United) leader to take over hours after Jitan Ram Manjhi submitted his resignation as chief minister without taking the trust vote on Friday.
"The oath taking ceremony will be held at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday, at 5PM. The governor has asked us to prove majority within three weeks, but before March 16," a beaming Kumar told reporters outside the Raj Bhawan after meeting the governor. Lalu Prasad's RJD and Congress are likely to be part of the coalition led by Kumar. Given Nitish's overwhelming support among JD(U) legislators, his return is along anticipated lines.
