H1N1 Flu Virus: A 58-year-old swine flu patient died due to ventilator shutdown followed by unprecedented power cut at the state-run Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases (RGICD) in Bangalore at 3 am on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as B G Ganesh, was admitted to the hospital on February 20 for bilateral pneumonia and was shifted to the medical intensive care unit (MICU) on Saturday, reports said.
