Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said scared farmers thought the government had forgotten them and was only working for the rich after he and party chief Sonia Gandhi addressed thousands at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday in a protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's controversial plans to overhaul land purchasing laws.
