It is D Day for former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. The fate of the AIADMK chief's appeal against her conviction and four years of jailing by a special court in Bengaluru will be decided by the Karnataka High Court on Monday. Justice CR Kumaraswamy will be delivering the judgement at 11 o'clock. A special court had convicted her in an 18-year-old disproportionate assets case (known as DA case) and sent her to jail in September 2014. Thereafter, Jayalalithaa and four others including her closest aide VK Sasikala Natarajan, her estranged foster son Sudhakaran and J Ilavarasi were sent to Bengaluru central prison.
