Delhi Police on Tuesday rubbished claims made by AAP that it is trying to destabilise its government and said Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar was held simply on the basis of proof and nothing else. Clearing its stand, Delhi Police said, "We have followed all guidelines while making the arrest. We got a complaint from Bar Council of Delhi Head. It was found that the documents and certificates produced seemed to be forged and based on this complaint we formed teams to look into this matter." We found from the concerned college, that BSc degree was false, we also found that the LLB degree certificate was fake. This is as per the information from the University from where the degree was said to be obtained from. We have followed all guidelines while making the arrest," police added.
