Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi started a two-day visit to Rajasthan on Thursday to re-focus attention on the controversies surrounding chief minister Vasundhara Raje ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament that begins next week. Senior leaders of the party said Gandhi’s visit is needed because allegations of misuse of high office by both Raje and external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj have been overshadowed by the Vyapam scam.
