The RSS has lashed out at the Indian Institutes of Technology for being 'anti-Hindu and anti-India' and being the agents of Congress and Left forces. At the same time, IIT Delhi has also gotten embroiled in a controversy after it was reported that the special guests for one of its programs was none other than yoga guru Ramdev. IIT Delhi's decision to invite yoga guru Ramdev and an RSS affiliate for deliberations on a programme to leverage the technical strength of the IITs for development of rural areas has raised eyebrows. However, IIT Delhi sought to downplay the presence of Ramdev saying he was invited as he wanted to collaborate with the rural development initiatives.
