Prices of pulses have gone up by 40 to 50 percent in the past one week, igniting sharp reactions by Mumbaikars. The cost of pulses (dals) like Toor, Moong, Udad and others have escalated, with a kilo trading between Rs 180 to Rs 200 in the retail market from the earlier Rs 120 to Rs 140.
